The triple crochet stitch, also known as treble crochet, is a crochet technique that adds significant height to your projects. This stitch is perfect for creating lacy and openwork designs, making it ideal for projects like shawls, lightweight scarves, and airy blankets.

With its elongated structure, the triple crochet stitch produces a fabric that drapes beautifully and has a delicate appearance.

Step by step instructions to make a Triple Crochet Stitch

Skill level: Easy

step 1: Skip first 4 stitches on the foundation chain row.

step 2: yarn over the hook twice, insert the hook into 5th chain on foundation chain or specified stitch and yarn over the hook again.

step 3: Draw the yarn through the stitch. Now there are 4 loops on the hook.

step 4: Yarn over the hook again and draw through 2 loops. Now there are 3 loops on the hook

step 5: Yarn over the hook again and draw through last 2 loops. You will have one loop on the hook. This completes one Triple Crochet.
